We’ve streamlined our process to make it easy for you to purchase or refinance a home.
Getting a mortgage or refinancing your home can be a long and tedious process. But not with Leeward Island Mortgage. In fact, we only need to meet with you in the beginning and then we take care of the rest.
Our mortgage process is so simple, we've broken it down into 5 easy steps.
- You speak with us for about half an hour. If you’re missing any documents from our below checklist, we’ll help you get them.
- We’ll send you a list of all fees involved, arrange for your appraisal, credit verification, income verification and any other requirements necessary.
- Next, we underwrite and process your mortgage in-house and forward the documents to the investors for final approval.
- Upon approval, we’ll contact your attorney and forward the closing documents for you. The process to this point takes only 7 to 14 days. Then your attorney can set a closing date.
- Show up at the closing, sign the papers — and your mortgage is all set!
Come Prepared
Income
- Current pay stubs for one month
- W-2’s for the past two years
- If self-employed, two year’s tax returns
- Alimony, child support, social security
Assets
(two months statements – all pages)
- All checking, savings accounts
- IRA, 401K and Keogh
- Brokerage accounts
Debts
- Copy of current mortgage statements
- Cancelled rent checks past 12 months
- Bankruptcy discharge papers
Other Information
- Signed copies of sales and/or purchase agreements
- Divorce decree
- Driver’s license
